Gentlemen of the Cabin came out of a collaboration between Adopted Acres Soap Co. and CB Brushworks, built around a cabin weekend five friends have been keeping up for the better part of a decade. Marriages, grandkids, funerals, career changes — all of it gets talked through around the same fire. That is the room this fragrance is trying to put you in.

It opens spiced and slightly sharp, then drops fast into the heavy end: tobacco leaf and leather sitting on sandalwood, oud and cedar, with spiced vanilla rounding off the edges. Char, cigar smoke and aged whiskey are all present without any one of them running the show. It reads mature rather than loud, and it stays close to the skin for hours.

The splash is alcohol-based over an aloe vera and botanical-extract foundation — calendula, red clover, plantain, chamomile and white willow bark — so it tones and cools the skin without the raw sting a straight alcohol splash leaves behind.
