Adopted Acres Halloween 86 Aftershave Splash 120ml

Halloween 86 is not a costume-shop pumpkin scent. It is built from one specific memory: trick-or-treat night sometime in the mid-1980s, with cold air, porch lights down the street and a plastic pumpkin getting heavier by the block. The idea came from Marcus Klinger of The Barbershop Duet, the same friend behind Rookie Card and Triple Dog Dare, and Adopted Acres turned his description into a fragrance.

The result opens on scorched pumpkin over dry fall grass, with greasepaint makeup and a cloud of hairspray underneath, all of it sitting in cool night air. Then a faint thread of gasoline drifts through, like a car rolling slowly past, and that odd, specific detail is what makes it smell like a real memory instead of a seasonal candle.

The splash is alcohol-based over an aloe vera and botanical-extract foundation — calendula, red clover, plantain, chamomile and white willow bark — so it cools and tones the skin without the raw sting of a plain alcohol splash. Pair it with the Halloween 86 shaving soap to carry the scent through the whole shave.
